WELCOME TO ALL OUR NEW READERS!

We are delighted to see that dozens of new people continue to subscribe to the H2 cinc monthly e-newsletter so, just in case this is your first read, welcome!

These days we have two key brands - cinc (it stands for Creative In Culture and looks after our Arts portfolio) and H2, our commercial arm, which has been around since 1988.

From now on we will be producing a cinc focused e-zine one month followed by an H2 e-zine the next. That way we keep all our clients in touch with relevant information. You are, of course, more than welcome to subscribe to both e-zines, just let us know if you wish to do this and we'll ensure you're on both distribution lists.

In our experience there's real synergy between cinc and H2 - hence our company positioning of 'Creative Impact for Commerce and Culture'. The Arts fraternity often seeks sponsorship from the private sector whilst companies all too often realize the benefits of associating themselves with cultural organisations. Positioning ourselves between the two has proved a real winner.

If you would like to hear about any aspect of marketing, PR, design, branding, web or whatever, please let us know. We have a lot of experienced people under the H2 cinc roof! Otherwise, we hope you enjoy this e-zine and look forward to hearing about any feedback you may have.

THE PRESSES ROLL AGAIN FOR PHOENIX

H2 cinc has been working frantically this month to get world-renowned performance company, Phoenix Dance Theatre, ready for their Autumn tour.

But, fear not, neither of cinc's directors, Messrs Phil Hopkins and Phil Byrne, have been putting any of the dancers through their paces. More to the point we have been getting the company's print material ready for distribution to UK theatres.

Phoenix, which performs across Europe with some of the most exciting choreographers in the world originally engaged H2 cinc to help them devise their marketing material for the Spring 2008 season.

As well as designing their 2008 souvenir tour programme, H2 cinc recently re-produced a range of marketing material including posters, flyers and billboards promoting the company's Classic Dance performance.

Now the company is taking its work to a range of new theatres across the UK as part of its Autumn tour. To discover more about Phoenix, visit their web site at www.phoenixdancetheatre.co.uk

ART FOR ART'S SAKE

Many of you will have made your way to the Sage in Gateshead towards the end of July for the Arts Marketing Association's Annual Conference. Wasn't it fantastic? I know some of the food queues proved a little challenging but, that aside, the venue was amazing and some of the speakers were fascinating and thought provoking. Personally we found Mark Whiting from Moet Hennessy and his 'emotional' research absolutely enthralling. The journey of a premier brand. Amazing.

The event was also a personal opportunity for H2 to formally launch cinc (it stands for Creative In Culture). Thank you to all those who visited our stand. How many of you responded to cinc's 'positive note' tease direct mail sent out before the show!! Guess what? It worked BRILLIANTLY because many of you did!

If any of you would like to galvanize the troops or encourage people to take positive action with your organisation in mind, then talk to H2 cinc about your requirements. We practice what we preach and did so at the AMA Conference to great effect. Call Phil Byrne or Phil Hopkins on 08700 503 574 or e-mail philb@cincreate.co.uk or philh@cincreate.co.uk.

GOT TO PICK A POCKET OR TWO!

Contrary to popular belief, H2 cinc managing director, Phil Hopkins doesn't have rotting teeth. It's just that he will soon be reprising his role as Fagin in the award winning Lionel Bart Musical, Oliver!

Phil, who has already played the role twice, including at Bradford's impressive Alhambra Theatre, will tread the boards again from November 18-22, when he steps behind the footlights at the Grand Theatre and Opera House, Leeds.

Phil, who has the dubious honour of having appeared as a dancing cardinal in the last Monty Python film, The Meaning of Life, as a market trader in Only Fools and Horses and as a tap dancing leg double in a BBC drama, said: "Fagin is the ultimate character role and it's a great honour to be performing at this wonderful proscenium theatre which recently underwent a multi million pound facelift".

Fancy checking the MD out? Tickets can be purchased at www.leedsgrandtheatre.com or from the Box Office in Leeds. Call 0870 1214901.
